CHL-C6000 Series semi-automatic coagulation analyzer (IVD) has a bench-top design and is ideal for small and medium-sized hospitals, laboratories, and clinical centers. The measurement principle is the photoelectric magnetic beads method, i.e.: using photoelectric to test movements of magnetic beads, in order to determine the freezing point of the blood, and measure the time of blood freezing. This method is free from the interference of Jaundice, Hemolytic, Chyle, and other samples. It is easy to operate and highly accurate, with low consumption of reagents; this equipment is highly valued by its cost-effectiveness.
The clinical significance of these items:
APTT: it is a performance indicator of the efficacy of both the "intrinsic" and the common coagulation pathways. Besides, it is also used to monitor the treatment effects with heparin. Prolonged APTT may indicate the use of heparin, antiphospholipid antibody, coagulation factor deficiency, Sepsis - coagulation factor consumption, or the Presence of antibodies against coagulation factors.
PT: it is a measure of the extrinsic pathway of coagulation and used to determine the clotting tendency of blood, in the measure of warfarin, dosage, liver damage, and vitamin K, status. The prothrombin time can be prolonged as a result of deficiencies in vitamin K, warfarin, therapy, malabsorption, or lack of intestinal colonization by bacteria (such as in newborns). In addition, poor factor VII synthesis (due to liver disease) or increased consumption (in disseminated intravascular coagulation) may prolong the PT.
FIB: it is a glycoprotein in vertebrates that helps in the formation of blood clots. Higher levels are, amongst others, associated with cardiovascular disease (>3.43 g/L). It may be elevated in any form of inflammation, as it is an acute-phase protein; for example, it is especially apparent in human gingival tissue during the initial phase of periodontal disease. Fibrinogen levels increase in pregnancy to an average of 4.5 g/L, compared to an average of 3 g/l in non-pregnant people. Low levels of fibrinogen can indicate a systemic activation of the clotting system, with the consumption of clotting factors faster than synthesis.
TT: it measures the time it takes for a clot to form in the plasma of a blood sample containing anticoagulant after an excess of thrombin has been added. If the time it takes for the plasma to clot is prolonged, a quantitative (fibrinogen deficiency) or qualitative (dysfunctional fibrinogen) defect is present.
